How Scoring Works

Understand how points are earned and lost during play.

Scoring Basics

My scoring system rewards efficient play and meaningful progress. Points are awarded for moving cards toward the foundations and for uncovering hidden cards in the tableau.

+ Ways to Gain Points

  • Waste card to Tableau pile
  • Tableau card to Foundation
  • Flipping a face-down card
  • Waste card to Foundation

- Ways to Lose Points

  • Moving foundation card to tableau
  • Recycling the stock pile
  • Time-based penalties (every 10s)
  • Using certain hints

Time Penalties & Bonuses

In Classic Solitaire, time is your competitor. Your score will slowly decrease at regular intervals as the game clock ticks up. However, winning quickly will grant you a significant Time Bonus at the end of the game, which often makes up the majority of a high score.

End-of-Game Bonus

Once all cards are moved to the foundations, your final score is calculated. This includes your current points plus a bonus multiplier based on your total time and move count. The fewer moves and less time you use, the higher your final placement on the leaderboards.
