Dragging & Stacking Cards

Move stacks correctly and understand valid placements.

Dragging Single Cards

To move a single card, simply click and hold (or touch and hold on mobile) and drag it to your desired destination. If the move is valid according to the rules, the card will snap into place. If invalid, it will return to its original position.

"I designed the interface to be as tactile as possible. Even on small screens, the hit zones are optimized for easy dragging."

Dragging Multiple Cards (Stacks)

In Klondike Turn One, you can move any number of cards that are already in a valid sequence. For example, if you have a Black 8 on a Red 9, and then a Red 7 on the 8, you can grab the Red 9 to move the entire stack of three cards together.

Valid Stacking Rules

Understanding where cards can go is key to mastering the flow of the game:

  • Tableau Piles: Cards must be placed in alternating colors (red on black, black on red) and in descending order (e.g., a 6 goes on a 7).
  • Foundation Piles: Cards are built upward by suit, starting with the Ace and ending with the King (e.g., Ace of Hearts, 2 of Hearts, 3 of Hearts).
